Architecting decision systems for board-level competitive advantage

Three core capabilities

Turning commitments into decisions a board can defend

01

AI & decision intelligence

I develop AI-enabled platforms and frameworks that make sustainability strategy measurable and actionable. Instead of generic commitments, boards get scenario modelling, constraint analysis and decision-support tools that answer the only question that matters: what is the financial impact of this approach?

What it looks like
Economic intelligence platforms, strategic scenario modelling, measurement dashboards connected to real business data.
02

Sustainable value creation

I identify where sustainability creates actual business value rather than simply satisfying reporting requirements. That means connecting it to risk reduction, market access, competitive positioning and financial outcomes a board can measure — and treating ESG data as the apparatus underneath, not the strategy itself.

What it looks like
Material risk assessment, financial impact modelling, board-ready frameworks that connect sustainability to business strategy.
03

Board & executive advisory

I work with boards and C-suites as an ongoing strategic partner — pattern recognition across industries, early warning on emerging trends, and guidance on the major decisions where AI and sustainability intersect.

What it looks like
Quarterly board sessions, leadership workshops, strategic briefings, advisory on M&A, market entry and investor positioning.
The shift required

The old playbook is not enough anymore

Most sustainability programmes were designed for a stable world. Climate shocks, energy volatility, biodiversity collapse, AI disruption and social fragmentation are not risks to manage on the side — they are the operating environment. Six shifts separate the organisations designed to create value inside those boundaries from the ones still working around them.

Sustainability as compliance Sustainability as strategy
Reporting on ESG Designing for impact
Risk management Resilience & value creation
Shareholders only Multi-stakeholder alignment
Short-term extraction Long-term regeneration
Doing less harm Creating net-positive good

The problem is not a lack of information. It is that most organisations were never designed to make decisions across these systems.

Climate, energy, nature, AI and social pressure arrive as one interconnected problem and get handled by separate functions, on separate timescales, against separate incentives. The evidence exists. The decision architecture does not.

That is why my work increasingly focuses on decision systems.

Arnaud Blandin
About

I bridge technology, strategy and the boardroom

I started as an engineer contributing to Java standards in Silicon Valley, built the economic intelligence platforms I now use in advisory work, and spent twenty years identifying what actually works across Fortune 500 companies and PE-backed firms.

What differentiates the approach is the ability to bridge worlds that are usually kept apart: engineering and strategy, AI and sustainability, financial performance and human development, innovation and governance.

Sustainable Value Creation at CEDEP

From urgency to impact. A three-month blended programme in Fontainebleau for leaders ready to move beyond compliance and run sustainability as a driver of growth. The learning journey is built on the Sustainability Compass — the AI-powered diagnostic that tells each participant where their own organisation actually stands, so the work concentrates on the levers that matter.

Day 1 · Head

From values to value creation.

Day 2 · Hands

Make sense of complexity, and translate ESG into business value and growth.

Day 3 · Heart

Lead beyond compliance, and reframe the trade-offs.

Day 4 · Horizon

Build a future-ready action plan and a personal legacy.

Three ways to work together

Most relationships begin with diagnostic work

I take a limited number of engagements annually to ensure depth and quality. Engagements typically expand into implementation or ongoing advisory.

Engagement 1

Sustainable Value Diagnostic

When sustainability spending is not translating into business outcomes. Four weeks to a board-ready integration framework and a 90-day roadmap.

4 weeks

Engagement 2

AI & Decision Systems

When AI initiatives are not improving decisions. Eight weeks to map the constraints, deploy the platform and build scenarios with the financials attached.

8 weeks + 12-month platform

Engagement 3

Board Advisory Retainer

When a board needs sustained clarity on a complex strategic issue. Quarterly board sessions, monthly executive calls and ongoing access for major decisions.

What clients say

From boards, founders and faculty

Arnaud trained our board members on sustainability, and his expertise, openness and genuine commitment to the subject stood out immediately. It was a pleasure collaborating with him, and I look forward to partnering together again as we navigate these important topics. Highly recommended if you are interested in looking beyond the mere theoretical concept of sustainability.
Head of Sustainability Committee
Eurofins
Arnaud brings a rare ability to understand and analyse projects from a 360° perspective, with a strong and insightful focus on AI-related challenges. His deep knowledge of impact frameworks was invaluable in helping us position ourselves. Our impact plan has become more than a reporting tool — it is now an integral part of our daily team management.
Samuel Dupont, PhD
CEO, Bioceanor
He is reflective, empathic and purpose-driven — one of the few sustainability experts I know who is able to marry AI, data analytics and a deep understanding of sustainability, reporting, leadership and human dynamics. I highly recommend him for ExCo and board briefings.
François Bogacz

What I appreciate most about Arnaud is how he cuts through the noise and helps people truly grasp what is at stake — the challenges, the complexities, and also the many opportunities that sustainability offers.
